Student Syndrome

Student Syndrome refers to the phenomenon that many people will start to fully apply themselves to a task just in the wake of a deadline that a specific point in time at which a specific task must be completed. This leads to wasting any buffers built into individual task duration estimates (WIKIPEDIA, 2006).

Given the deadline for a homework assignment, students often plead for more time. Given more time, many simply postpone starting the assignment. The "student syndrome" leads workers to delay starting an activity until the last possible moment, likening it to the way students often delay writing a term paper until the last minute (Mantel, et al, 2005, pp. 170, 208, 215, & 220).


學生症候群

不到最後一分鐘
絕不開始寫作業

這好像是大多數學生的通病

小婆可不能一竿打翻一船人
因還是有優秀且自動自發者

這是小婆兩年半來第14門課
最近像是得了嚴重的倦怠症
明知每週都有寫不完的報告
也將學期進度表早早就作好
但就是提不起勁來早做早好

傷腦筋ㄚ－－

像上禮拜得交一篇佔了 12% 的個人報告
Individual paper: Ethics and Legal Concepts in Marketing

其中得分清楚五種 Ethical Decision-Making Approaches:
Utilitarianism, Common Good, Rights, Virtue, and Social Justice/Fairness

提到了 Kantianism 康德學派、
Aristotelianism 阿里斯多得學說、
Equalitarianism 平等主義、
Libertarianism 自由意志論、……

你／妳會不會和小婆一樣
看的是一個頭比兩三個大

歷史、心理學、哲學
一向都是小婆的罩門
算算數學啦統計分析
小婆就比較得心應手

這兩天讓小婆不禁想起大學時的手札－－
even though LGMM did not bring them to Maryland

日子可以過得很好
只是不用太多情緒

現在即刻摘拾起
才不會是種殘缺

與其詛咒黑暗
不若點亮盞燈

Shut up!
Do something!

似乎並沒有能夠
平衡小婆的生活
平衡小婆的情緒
平衡小婆的荷爾蒙
